STEFANEFIT
A Benefit for Former Austrian National Team Sport Acrobat, Stefan Furst, and the People of Haiti

PORTLAND, FEBRUARY 7th 2010: A coalition of local performers will hold a Stefanefit to help with medical expenses for former Austrian National Team Sport Acrobat, Stefan Furst. Stefan has decided to donate a large portion of the funds raised to Haiti relief. The show will take place at The Echo Theater, located at 1515 SE 37th Ave. It is an all-ages show, beginning at 4PM, with tickets as a $7 - 15 suggested donation. This show will feature hand balancing, aerial dance, juggling, martial arts, and a four-armed drum monster!

WHY A STEFANEFIT? Stefan Furst was injured in a windsurfing accident, which impaired his ability to work. The acrobats in the community feel strongly that they want to give back to someone who has shared so much time, caring, and expertise. "Stefan has donated thousands of hours of his time to train us." says Jack StockLynn, Imago. "Stefan's training has helped me rise to the level of professional acrobat. This is my chance to use the craft he taught me to give back to a pivotal person in my life," says Tera Nova Zarra, Stefanefit Organizer.

ADDENDUM FROM STEFAN
"I feel honored and privileged to be surrounded by people who care. I will gladly accept some funds for my shoulder injury, but I have a request. Since there was a natural disaster of great extent, with suffering for all the people in Haiti. I would like to give a big portion of the money raised at the event to people in Haiti."
-Stefan Furst
